How To Create a Company Group

Overview: This document provides information on the uses of Company Groups and how to create a Company Group. A database has several companies in it. An employee needs access to more than one company. You do not have to assign one company at a time to the employee. You can create a Company Group and assign the Company Group to the employee.

To create a Company Group:

1) Click on Easy Security\Logins and Permissions\Company Groups to open the Company Groups window. Click on New to open the New Company Group Card window.

2) Give the Company a Group ID and a Name. Click under Company Name in the Lines window and select one Company per line until all the Companies have been selected that you want to add to the new Company Group. Click the OK button to return to the New Company Group Card.

3) The new Company Group appears in the Company Groups window. Refresh the page to get the Companies to appear in the Company List window. The Company Group is now ready to be assigned to the Login of your choice.
