.NET Integration classes in Boston and Chicago  

Microsoft .NET Framework Interoperability is one of the most important and powerful introductions to Microsoft Dynamics NAV technology stack, and yet it is a largely unknown and unfamiliar area for most of NAV developers. Understanding .NET, its inner workings and capabilities, allows developers to take their NAV implementations to the next level where many more problems can be solved in a more elegant way. This two-day course takes you on a tour of the .NET Framework and how it integrates with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013, and teaches you how to take advantage of this most powerful development framework from NAV.

Agenda

Day 1:

• Overview of the .NET Framework functionality and capabilities
• Overview of the .NET Interoperability in NAV
• Working with arrays, collections, dictionaries, and enumerations
• Developing custom assemblies  

Day 2:

• Streaming and serialization interoperability
• Using type information in NAV
• Developing client add-ins
• Debugging .NET code  

The prerequisites for this course are the following:

• A laptop computer with:
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 (mandatory)
  • Visual Studio 2010 or 2012 with C# option installed (mandatory)
• Good knowledge of C/AL programming and C/SIDE development  

The training will be 2 days, and the developers will have much hands on. 

About the trainer 

Vjekoslav Babic (vjekoslav.babic@fortempo.net) is an independent Microsoft Dynamics NAV consultant, trainer, author and blogger, with 10 years of experience in NAV and 16 years of experience in IT.

As a solutions architect and a project manager with a leading Microsoft Dynamics President’s Club service provider company, as a Microsoft Dynamics NAV consultant with Microsoft Services, and as an independent consultant, he has been working on Microsoft Dynamics NAV implementations ranging from tiny one-man-bands to international mega-corporations, delivering services and trainings all over the world.

In 2008, Vjekoslav co-authored the acclaimed book "Implementing Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009". Vjekoslav runs an active blog about NAV implementation, project management and development best practices at NavigateIntoSuccess.com, acts as a columnist and editorial advisory board member at MSDynamicsWorld.com, and as a columnist in a number of other web or printed periodicals in Croatia and worldwide. Vjekoslav is also a frequent speaker at Microsoft or Microsoft Dynamics conferences.

Since spring 2010, Vjekoslav has been awarded the prestigious Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award for Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Price

The price for the 2 day class is $1000 (require 8 attendees per location, else will only one class be held). The Class is open for both NAV Partners and Customers.
