Easy Security is a complete solution for the RoleTailored and Classic clients for setup and maintenance of permissions in Microsoft Dynamics NAV – saving you time, money and resources when setting up security.

Easy Security for Roles and Logins, but also with the enhanced Field Level, Actions and Data Security fulfill every need for security for even the most complex security setup. The Easy Security Light is intended for companies with simpler security requirements.

The Easy Security application is available in English, German, Spanish, French, Danish, Dutch, Italian and Portuguese.

Easy Security - Roles and Logins

Easy Security makes it very easy to set up roles and permissions for multiple users across multiple companies.

Easy Security contains a Permission Recorder, that captures permissions simply by using the application. By adding a Source Code Analyzer on top of the recordings, roles are created correctly the first time, avoiding a costly trial and error approach when creating a new role or updating an existing.

Over 100 new roles are delivered with the solution. These roles are based on recordings and contain roles for segregation of duties for Finance, Sales, Purchase and basic Inventory, Role Center roles, technical roles like super read and more. Because these roles are based on recordings are many customization automatically handled.

In the standard NAV application it is a very time-consuming and challenging task to assign the right roles to the right users. Easy Security simplifies this process by allowing you to create groups of roles and companies and assign these to users. A user can also be assigned the same permissions as another user – meaning you only need to maintain one user.

Easy Security also makes Form or Page-Level Security (and other object-type level security) very simple. You only have to select the objects that you want to limit access to, Easy Security automatically maintains permissions for the remainder of the objects.

Field Level, Actions and Data Security

When regular security based on data and objects in Microsoft Dynamics NAV is not enough, Field Level, Actions and Data Security can add extra capabilities like hiding fields, making actions impossible to click or showing only some records based on filters. For example can the Sales Order have of most actions disabled - the “Post” action removed, and only a few editable fields - all dynamically controlled from Field Level, Actions and Data Security.

Easy Security consists of only new objects and require no merging when installed in a database. An install engine for Field Level, Actions and Data Security is included and can be run by a customer with module 7200 (Application Designer) or by the partner. Complete un-install is also possible allowing removal of the code changes when upgrading or merging code.

Easy Security Light is an efficient, cost-effective way to maintain security in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, greatly enhancing NAV’s security features - perfect for companies with less complex security requirements. The best part is most of the application is for free or very cost effective.

Available for both the Classic Client and Role Tailored Client, Easy Security Light lets you manage access controls and security roles through easy to use wizards - without modifying the base objects within NAV, so no merging is required. And Easy Security Light is fully integrated with all the features in the Role Tailored Client, such as FactBoxes and the Action Pane.
